The NL teams for the Saturday games are on strike together! All games on Saturday evening are kicked off on time, but are then interrupted after the first face-off.
The players withdraw and roll out a banner on which it says: “
The youngsters are our future, the fans our backbone and ice hockey our life.” After a good two minutes of protest, it continues.
The players are thus defending themselves against the new league reform, which says that from the 2022/23 season onwards, 7 foreign licenses can be issued in the National League.
The aim should be that the clubs can lower their wage costs.
The protest was planned by the «SIHPU» players’ union, which shortly thereafter also spoke up on Instagram. Its president, Jonas Hiller, announced a reaction from the players’ side shortly after the reform was passed. (red)
Davos – move 2: 7
The widespread protest by the players’ association was probably misunderstood at HC Davos. With the protest after the first puck had been thrown in, the spook would have been over; the initiators were probably not planning any further actions.
In an impressive solidarity campaign with the players’ association, however, the HCD players refused to play for half an hour, and this is particularly clearly demonstrated in front of their own goal.
The conditionally suitable defensive behavior gives the EVZ considerable leeway, something that should be avoided against this team.
At HCD you will refer to the many injured and absent (Ambühl and Frehner joined this week), but this excuse only counts to a limited extent. At least in the defense area, one or two goals could have been avoided with a little more courage and esprit.
The EVZ is almost a bit embarrassed about the oversupply of space and time, but still goes to work with the necessary concentration at least until 5: 0.
The leader’s first win of the season against HCD is no longer in danger.
The EVZ does not allow itself to be disturbed by the ailing opponent and pulls through its guidelines without humor.
The Graubünden team will play against the SCL Tigers and Friborg next week. After that there are only two games left until March 12th. Maybe you use this phase to collect yourself again. After that, at least some of the injured and absent should be available again. (dk)

SCRJ Lakers – ZSC Lions 2:6
The ZSC Lions take their fourth victory in a row. Absolutely safe. After a rather leisurely start, they come up with a power play hit from Sigrist and then double up with Lasch. With a remarkable shorthander, Geering made everything clear early in the second section.
Later there was a second hit in the minority for the Zurich by Prassl. It’s already 5-0. In the end, when the game has long been like free ice skating, the Lakers also score two more goals. (sr)
The plum: Noël Bader (SCRJ Lakers).
The representative of the injured regular goalie Melvin Nyffeler is not the support it would need for a surprise. After two thirds he is redeemed and replaced by Sascha Rochow.
Tore: 16. Sigrist (Andrighetto, Noreau / PP) 0: 1. 20. Lasch (Andrighetto, Morant) 0: 2. 23. Geering (SH) 0: 3. 34. Andrighetto 0: 4. 40. Prassl (Noreau / SH) 0: 5. 54. Rowe (Sataric, Forrer) 1: 5. 58. Prassl 1: 6. 60. Egli (Rowe) 2: 6.
