The actress, who many fans know from the cult series “Stromberg”, among others, slips into the role of Melanie Evers, Tobias Evers’ (played by Jan Kittmann) wife who was believed to be lost and who was in a coma for eight years.
A particular challenge in preparing for her role was “miming a woman who hasn’t spoken for eight years, hasn’t moved on her own and also no longer knows who she is,” explains Staehly in an RTL interview. “To do this I had to research and rehearse exactly how I utter the first sounds, how to speak the first words and what excessive demands a person has to struggle with who has been ‘on the other side’ for so long.” Finding yourself physically in the form of “unfitness” was also a challenge.
Staehly was already happy about the new task with a photo of himself on her Instagram profile. “Now I can finally announce: For the near future I will be seen as Melanie Evers at GZSZ.”
From “Unter uns” to “Stromberg”
The Cologne native began her career in 1994 as Susanne “Sue” Sommerfeld in the RTL series “Unter Uns”, and from 2001 she appeared in “Die Anrheiner” for five years.
Her greatest role so far has been that of Tanja Steinke, who she embodied from 2004 to 2014 alongside Christoph Maria Herbst in “Stromberg”. Her role was with Ulf Steinke (played by Oliver Wnuk). From 2007 to 2015 she also played the financial controller Patrizia Ortmann in the ZDF series “Die Rosenheim-Cops”, from 2016 she was the chief inspector at “SOKO Cologne” for four years.
Staehly has already had enough TV experience. RTL will broadcast the episodes “Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten” with her from March 2, 2021, from Tuesday, February 23, Staehly can already be seen on TVNow in her new role.
