The researchers compared people who had already received the first injection with those who had not yet been vaccinated.
The vaccines from Pfizer / Biontech and AstraZeneca were examined.
The result: a single dose of the Biontech vaccine already protects 85 percent against hospitalization after four weeks.
The AstraZeneca vaccine then even achieves a protective effect of up to 94 percent!
