Northern Ireland party wants to sue against the Brexit treaty

This was announced by the pro-British party on Sunday.  The  DUP criticizes that “barriers” are being erected between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.

 The  protocol aims to ensure that the rules of the European Union apply in Ireland without introducing border controls between Ireland and Northern Ireland. As a result, controls on the movement of goods threaten to shift to the border between the British main island and Northern Ireland.

 The  lawsuit is reportedly filed by party leader Arlene Foster, her deputy Nigel Dodds and DUP MPs in the London Parliament.

 The  DUP sees itself as a Protestant and unionist party. She is against a unification of Northern Ireland with the Republic of Ireland, such as the Irish Republican party Sinn Fein calls for.
