The result: a night curfew and insecurities in schools and daycare centers.
Curfew from Saturday
After Passau fell below the 100 mark last week, a seven-day incidence value of 104.2 was reported on Friday. That means: From Saturday midnight, the night curfew will apply again. In addition to the general curfew, it is prohibited to stay outside the apartment from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Unless there are valid reasons such as medical emergencies or work.
The curfew was only lifted on Thursday.
School and daycare openings on the dump
As for the opening of schools and daycare centers, a decision will not be made until Monday, the city also announced. Should an opening be possible, but only from Wednesday. Schools, parents and transport companies are to be given a corresponding lead time.
Curfew continues in four Lower Bavarian districts
Furthermore, the night curfew is currently still in force in four districts in Lower Bavaria: Freyung-Grafenau, Passau, Regen and Rottal-Inn. Of these, only the district of Passau is above an incidence of 100.
The other three are, however, not yet seven days in a row below the value, which is why the curfew is still in place.
