- Prince Philip has been in the hospital since February 16.
- At a public appearance, Prince William was asked how his grandfather was.
- The answer from the Duke of Cambridge is optimistic.
Prince William finds reassuring words for anyone concerned about the health of his grandfather, Prince Philip. When asked by photographer Arthur Edwards how the husband of Queen Elizabeth II is currently doing, Prince William replied on Monday (via “People”): “He’s okay.” In addition, the 38-year-old Royal reveals: “You keep an eye on him.”
Prince Philip remains in the hospital
By “they” are meant the doctors at King Edward VII Hospital in London. Prince Philip was admitted there on February 16 because, according to an official announcement by the royal family, he felt “uncomfortable”.
The 99-year-old’s illness has nothing to do with the corona virus and the Duke of Edinburgh was not included as an emergency, the palace sources emphasize. Prince Philip entered the hospital on his own. On Saturday he received a visit from his son Prince Charles.
Prince William on an official mission
Prince William spoke about his grandfather’s condition while visiting a vaccination center in Norfolk. It was the royal’s first public appearance outside of his own four walls this year. Together with his wife Kate and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the Duke of Cambridge last stayed because of the country-wide lockdown in Anm Hall, the family’s country residence.
