The  Saxons celebrated a 3-0 victory against Hertha BSC in Berlin on Sunday, the day before the Munich team lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt. ÖFB team player Marcel Sabitzer took the lead with a shot from almost 30 meters (28th), Nordi Mukiele (71st) and Willi Orban (84th) scored the other goals.

Leipzig managed to make amends for the 2-0 draw in the first leg of the Champions League first leg in Budapest against Liverpool. Before that, Bayer Leverkusen had just achieved a 1-1 draw in Augsburg thanks to a goal from Edmond Tapsoba (94th) after the home side had made it 1-0 through Florian Niederlechner (5th). Michael Gregoritsch was a substitute at Augsburg as was Aleksandar Dragovic on the other side. Leverkusen are now fifth, five points behind the fourth-placed Frankfurters.

In the end, Hoffenheim came to a 4-0 home win over Werder Bremen. Christoph Baumgartner, who was replaced in the 87th minute, scored the interim 2-0 (44th), Florian Grillitsch played through, Stefan Posch was absent due to a corona infection. For the losers, Marco Friedl was in action over the entire distance, Romano Schmid came into play immediately after the break. This means that five Austrians scored a goal in the 22nd round – in addition to Baumgartner and Sabitzer, Sasa Kalajdzic (Stuttgart), Karim Onisiwo and Kevin Stöger (both Mainz) had already achieved this on Saturday.
