RimacElektro-Hypersportwagen Rimac C Two
Porsche, Ferrari Lamborghini – this is the dream of every sports car fan. But due to the increasing electrification of the car world, there are new hypercars on the field that make the heart beat faster. The Rimac C Two is one of them.
The Rimac C Two, which has received a lot of preliminary praise, will come to customers this year – finally. He had been announced again and again; it should be ready in the next few months. At the end of last year, six test vehicles of the final series were completed. Not that any of the established car manufacturers ever communicated this in their development process lasting several years, but with a small series manufacturer like Rimac, every little message is also a big one. Shortly before Christmas, for example, it was solemnly announced that the production of those six Erlkönige had now started in the Croatian production facility in Veliko Trgovi ?? će. Those were the first models that were actually in series production – correspondingly important for the Croatian manufacturer and a light at the end of the tunnel for hungry customers.

Delivery starts this year
The all-electric Rimac C Two has a maximum torque of 1,408 kW / 1,914 PS / 2,300 Nm and is therefore 412 km / h fast. From a standing start it goes to 100 km / h in under two seconds and the 300 mark should fly by in under twelve seconds. Thanks to a 120 KWh battery pack, the electric range should be 550 kilometers.

Recharging is also carried out at top speed: the Croatian should reach 80 percent of its capacity in half an hour. All of this has its price, which, like the final name of the all-wheel drive C Two, is not yet known. However, there is hardly anything to be done below a million euros.

An alternative hypercar is being built in the USA: the Hyperion XP-1 can travel up to 355 kilometers per hour and sprints to 100 km / h in around two and a half seconds. But what scares many an electric car manufacturer …
“With the C Two we are creating a completely new type of performance vehicle. After thousands of hours of virtual simulation, years of design and engineering and many raw and finished prototypes, it is a very special feeling to see how the pre-production vehicles are now making their journey through ours Coming to the production line, “explains company boss Mate Rimac,” this is the clearest sign so far that the C Two is almost there, and we can’t wait to deliver the cars to our customers in 2021 and show them around the world . ” In the first year of production in 2021 – depending on the corona situation – a maximum of 15 to 20 series vehicles should be built. If the Veliko Trgovi ?? će manufacture is running at full speed, 100 to 150 vehicles per year would be conceivable, provided that demand is right and the financial situation remains stable. But before that, at the start of the season, the final suspension adjustments on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife will take place. Not only does the fine-tuning have to be done here, but a hot record lap has to be hammered into the asphalt so that potential customers can proudly sign the order book. And the best times from VW ID. R, Porsche 919 Hybrid or Nio EP9 always have it all with well under seven minutes. In addition, the Rimac also wants to be highly automated up to level four in road traffic. Wait and see if everything works out.
