The chairman of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, Gassen, said on ZDF that initial data had shown that the preparation can be transported and stored even at significantly higher temperatures. That in turn is the prerequisite for vaccinating in the practices. Gassen said it was difficult to say when one could start with it. The re are still insufficient amounts of vaccine available.
According to new studies, the mean from Biontech-Pfizer remains stable for two weeks at minus 15 to minus 25 degrees Celsius, as the companies announced last week. Until now, according to the manufacturer’s specifications, the vaccine had to be stored at minus 60 to minus 80 degrees.
