Too fast for dad – boy (2) seriously injured on toboggan – Tyrol

 The  leisurely stroll of a Tyrolean family ended in a terrible misfortune on Saturday afternoon: At around 4.40 p.m., the parents strolled with their son towards the mountain station of the Markbachjochbahn in Niederau / Wildschönau.

 The  little boy drove down the approximately 4 ° steep slope in the currently closed ski area with a plastic children’s bobsleigh. His dad (38) ran sideways to slow down the vehicle again and again.  The  two-year-old’s bobsled was getting faster and faster on the hard snow surface, so that it was no longer possible for his father to follow him.

Due to the side slope of the slope, the boy came to ever steeper terrain. He raced around 250 meters along the 30 ° steep terrain without braking.  The  trip ended tragically: In the area of ​​a forest path, the boy slammed into a wooden fence pillar and remained motionless.

 The  parents immediately placed an emergency call and began first aid measures. After the first aid, the two-year-old with serious injuries was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck in the NAH Heli 3.
