“I resigned from my position as a member of the executive committee of VfB Stuttgart 1893 eV with immediate effect. A constructive cooperation in the presidium is unfortunately not possible. Claus Vogt’s values do not correspond to my values. At the same time, I resigned from my position as a member of the supervisory board of VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG, as this function is linked to the role of the executive committee.
This decision is in no way related to the data affair. I neither impaired nor delayed the investigation into the allegations made in kicker on September 28, 2020, nor was I involved in these processes in any way. This was also confirmed in the course of the legal assessment of the Esecon final report.
Finally, I would like to thank my colleagues on the supervisory board and the other committee members, the departments, Thomas Hitzlsperger and all VfB employees for the time together. I also thank the members and hope that everyone will continue to watch what is happening at VfB during this eventful time. ”
