Concepts work: after two weeks, Viennese commercial manager Margarete Gumprecht draws a cautiously positive balance
Vienna (OTS) – The electronics trade is reporting brisk demand, there are bargain hunters in the fashion trade and perfumes are also being bought with great pleasure at the moment: “After two weeks we can say that people are happy to be able to use the stationary trade again.
The customers are very disciplined when it comes to the measures, the rules are well accepted and implemented ”, says Margarete Gumprecht, commercial advisor at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.
The re is currently more audience in shopping centers, while the frequency in individual areas is still sluggish. “As long as the gastro is not open and there are not enough tourists, especially in the inner city, retail will also face challenges,” says Gumprecht.
Test, test, test
The head of the division is particularly pleased that positive reports on the tests of the staff have been received from the industry. “We hear that the willingness to test is high and that retailers can make an active contribution to the fight against the pandemic,” says Margarete Gumprecht. “We all have to work to ensure that the shops can stay open and that we can find our way back to a new way of everyday life step by step”. In addition to the city of Vienna’s extensive test options, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce has also launched the “Alles gurgelt” initiative in cooperation with the city.
The aim is to carry out comprehensive Gurgel PCR tests for Vienna.
The project phase is currently running and will gradually be expanded to various industries.
