Shivering game in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Yesterday, moderator Günther Jauch (64) welcomed candidate Christine Schorer in the quiz show. And it was anything but a good start.
Because even the 200-euro question became an almost insurmountable hurdle for the Bavarian. “Wherever there is really a lot going on, there is literally going on – or even the …?” Jauch wanted to know from Schorer.
The possible answers: “A: Elli, B: Luzi, C: Leni and D: Gerdi.”
Jauch is having fun
The Quizmaster even had a joke in which he asked all on-site viewers to get up if they knew the answer. And lo and behold: the whole audience stood up together. “I just wanted to see if someone would stay seated,” Jauch teased.
Suddenly it seemed as if Schorer could turn things around after all – much to the delight of her husband. He was there as an accompanying person in the studio and made faces in despair, while his wife almost failed over the 200 euro question. “Ah, now I’ve figured it out,” announced the consultant.
The answer is “C: Leni”, she knows it from a song. Her husband clapped his hands in front of his face at the obviously wrong answer.
16,000 euros thanks to the public joker
The result was clear: 95 percent voted for answer B: Luzi. And the Bavarian was finally able to log in the correct answer. But not before Jauch dropped another nasty saying: “If these discussions continue, the show is over and we have not yet reached the 1000 euros.” Schorer finally made it to the 32,000 euro question, where she was satisfied with 16,000 euros.
