The schools in lockdown and the lessons digitally as video, sometimes with technical problems – these are currently the challenges due to Corona. Now the wanton disturbances from outside are also increasing.
Strange heckling in math class, porn photos in biology or insults from class strangers in chat – the police are already dealing with the disruptions in digital classes. The re is already a term for it: “Zoom bombing” – named after a video conferencing provider.
Usually strangers do not even get into the digital class.
The re are codes and passwords for this. But sometimes pupils also pass them on because they consider the classroom disruptions to be harmless pranks. However, this can quickly turn into criminal offenses.
The police in the Harburg district have now sent a letter from parents. Lydia Freienberger, youth officer of the police says to NDR 90.3: Schools must remain a safe space. We want to guarantee that.
Clear guidelines for teachers
The Hamburg school authorities also know the problem.
The re is a clear requirement for teachers to stop the digital lesson immediately in the event of such disruptions and to restart it with different passwords if necessary.
