Apple’s key finder should be that big and expensive

For many months there have been reports that Apple will present the so-called AirTags. These should help you to find your key ring, backpack or other luggage in case of emergency. In a new video from EverythingApplePro, Filip Koroy, in collaboration with Max Weinbach, gives further alleged details of the small chips.

Apple AirTags: prices and dimensions

The new details mainly revolve around the size of the AirTags and their price. Apple’s round key finder should measure 32 × 6 mm. For comparison: The also round tile stickers are 27 × 7 mm, Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag measures 39 × 10 mm.

Earlier leaks showed a white chip with an Apple logo on one side. As a further accessory, there should be, for example, small key rings that can be used to connect the AirTags to a key ring. Notes on the AirTags were recently found in the current beta versions of iOS.

As is typical for Apple, the price of the AirTags should be higher than comparable products from the competition. According to the latest information, Apple reportedly wants to charge $ 39 for an AirTag. A single tile sticker costs around US $ 24 in the US, while Samsung’s model costs just under US $ 30.

Rumors for the introduction

The new report also includes rumors about the alleged introduction. As was read in previous reports, Apple should plan a presentation in the near future. This could be an event, for example.

Weinbach expects products in the tablet, wearable and accessories categories to be presented. While the AirTags fall under accessories, the expected iPad Pro would be among the tablets. The wearables could include new wristbands for the Apple Watch in new colors. Apple updates the collection of its smartwatch straps several times a year, currently it’s time for the spring update.
