Before voting on the Covid-19 law – dispute among opponents of the measures

It was the biggest political surprise in a long time. The previously little known association “Friends of the Constitution” brought together 85,000 signatures against the Covid-19 law passed in September. In it, the Corona decrees passed by the Federal Council by means of emergency law are subsequently legitimized.

In passing, the movement also collected 30,000 signatures for the referendum against the Terrorism Act (PMT) launched by left-wing circles. The initiators gladly accepted the unexpected help – without it the necessary number of signatures would not have been achieved – but distanced themselves very clearly from the “Friends of the Constitution”, who were critical of the Corona.
