Former boxing superstar Oscar De la Hoya wants to return from athletic retirement after 13 years. The 48-year-old confirmed this on Friday at a press conference in Las Vegas alongside rapper Snoop Dogg.
There should also be a specific date. Accordingly, the American, who became the first boxer to win a world title in six different weight classes, will return to the big stage on July 3rd.
De la Hoya wants to challenge Mayweather
The last time the 2008 Olympic champion was in the ring was when he lost out to Manny Pacquiao. De la Hoya’s goal should be to box against his fellow countryman Floyd Mayweather, who has also retired.
