Exactly at 2 a.m. on Sunday the clocks were put forward one hour. In Switzerland and all EU member states, summer time applies again. The European Parliament voted to abandon the time change after 2021. However, a decision by the member states in the Council is not yet in sight.

For the time being, the change will cost many people an hour of sleep. At the same time, however, it also means that it stays light longer in the evening.

The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig has ensured that the time change has worked without any problems since it was reintroduced in 1980. Your employees program a time transmitter in Mainflingen, Hesse, which sends out the signal for the changeover.
