Corona in MV: 312 new infections, three more deaths | – news

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 312 new corona infections since Tuesday. There were three other deaths. The incidence value rose to 84.9 nationwide.

The number of registered new corona infections has increased by 312 cases in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since Tuesday (as of Wednesday 4:50 p.m.). That is 100 infections more than on Tuesday a week ago. Overall, the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) reported 28,791 infections in the country since March 2020. According to an estimate by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 25,332 (+156) of the people who tested positive in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have recovered from Covid 19 disease. The number of deaths in the northeast is 838 (+3). According to the LAGuS, 203,859 vaccine doses have so far been administered in the northeast (as of March 24). According to this, 137,984 people received a first vaccination (vaccination rate 8.58 percent), 65,875 also the second (vaccination rate 4.1 percent).

The incidence value in MV is now 84.9

Nationwide, the incidence value rose from 79.8 to 84.9 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week compared to the previous day. However, it is still well below the national average (108.1). In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg the seven-day incidence value is 93.4, in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim it is 141.8. The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has an incidence value of 108.6. The LAGuS reports a value of 82.6 for Schwerin, 76.9 for the Rostock district and 88.7 for the Mecklenburg Lake District. In the district of Vorpommern-Rügen the authorities register an incidence of 55.2 and in the Hanseatic city of Rostock of 31.1.

Currently 234 people with Covid-19 in hospital

According to the latest figures from the LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 234 (+ -0) people across the country are currently being treated in a hospital for Covid 19, 65 (+4) of them are in intensive care. According to the intensive care register, 33 (+1) Covid-19 patients are ventilated invasively. The register shows 522 occupied and 107 free intensive care beds for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Wednesday 2:19 p.m.).

71 new infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district

According to the LAGuS, most of the infected people were or still are in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, with 6,749 (+53) infections so far. In the Mecklenburg Lake District there are a total of 5,867 (+43) cases. So far there have been 4,574 (+71) infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. 2,802 (+40) infections were reported in the Rostock district. In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg, the authorities registered 2,639 (+25) people who were verifiably infected with the corona virus. The LAGuS reports 2,512 (+44) cases for the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. The state capital Schwerin continues to have the lowest total numbers with 1,937 (+18) and the Hanseatic city of Rostock with 1,711 (+18) cases.

27 infection incidents at daycare centers and after-school care centers, 27 at schools in MV

The LAGuS also publishes figures on the situation in old people’s homes as well as in schools and daycare centers. Accordingly, as of Tuesday, there are active infection events in 22 geriatric care facilities. 189 residents and 97 employees are affected. In addition, as of Tuesday, there are active infection events at 27 daycare centers and after-school care centers. 28 children and 25 educators and employees are affected. In addition, there are active infection events at 27 schools. Seven teachers or employees and 29 students are affected.

The LAGuS’s daily corona statistics only include people who have their primary residence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The LAGuS also publishes regular reports on infections among guests. These are all those people who have been found to be infected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but who do not have a primary residence in the state.
