After the death of a 19-year-old from Delmenhorst, the body was autopsied on Sunday. The public prosecutor’s office in Oldenburg rules out external violence as a cause of death.

This resulted in a scuffle in which the suspect hit a police officer twice in the head. The policeman then used pepper spray. The two of them finally succeeded in overpowering the man. Because they had used pepper spray, they routinely alerted the ambulance service. According to the information, however, the 19-year-old refused treatment. Collapsed in detention cell

The officials took the 19-year-old to the office. A standby judge ordered a blood sample to be taken. The police held the young man in a detention cell until the doctor arrived. There they then watched via video surveillance as he suddenly collapsed in the cell. According to the information, the officials alerted an emergency doctor and initiated rescue measures themselves until he arrived. By the time the collapsed man was taken to the hospital, his condition was already critical.
