Dieter Bohlen’s “DSDS” career ended prematurely

Dieter Bohlen’s career as chief juror of the RTL casting format “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (“DSDS”) has ended prematurely. Less than two weeks after the separation from Bohlen became known, he canceled the two live shows of the casting show “at short notice” due to illness, as RTL announced today in Cologne.

In the semi-final next Saturday and in the final a week later, the previous jurors Maite Kelly and Mike Singer should now make the jury. It will be checked whether there will be a third juror. RTL entertainment director Kai Sturm said: “We very much regret Dieter’s cancellation due to illness and wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.”

RTL had announced the separation from Bohlen before the end of the current “DSDS” season. In addition to “DSDS”, he was also the chief judge for “Das Supertalent”, and both casting formats are to be continued without planks. He has not yet commented on his departure.
