This is the result of the summit of Governors Michael Ludwig, Hans Peter Doskozil (both SP) and Johanna Mikl-Leitner (VP) with Minister of Health Rudi Anschober (Green), which lasted until 2.30 in the morning on Wednesday.
As the ON Nachrichten learned, from April 1st (Green Thursday) to the Tuesday after Easter in the three federal states, retail and body-related service providers are to close again, only shops for daily needs are allowed to remain open.
There will also be measures in the school sector, an extension of the Easter holidays to April 11th should come; It was still open on Wednesday lunchtime whether, as an alternative, it could be switched to distance learning in the week after Easter so that students do not lose any of the learning material. The results of the negotiations are not due to be presented until this evening around 6 p.m. because the details are still being clarified.
It is also planned that tests will be compulsory in companies; employees who are not in the home office should have to test once a week. Commuters to the eastern federal states should also have to submit tests more often.

According to reports, Vienna’s mayor Michael Ludwig (SP) as well as Minister of Health Rudi Anschober (Greens) could have envisaged even stricter measures such as a longer lockdown. Above all, Lower Austria’s governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (VP) is said to have slowed down. The provincial governors were in trouble that experts suddenly described the situation much more dramatically during yesterday’s conversation with the Ministry of Health than the day before at the Bund-Lnder summit in the Chancellery. Since then no syllable has been spoken of a lockdown: “It needs more reliability,” it was said from country circles.
Overall, however, the conversation with Anschober, in which the Chancellery was involved, was viewed as very constructive. Close cooperation also seems important, because experts at the “Eastern Summit” described the situation at the Viennese hospitals as “extremely critical”. In the Vienna City Hall it was not ruled out on Wednesday to tighten the measures in a second step, at least in the federal capital. According to the APA information, this will be considered if the number of infections continues to rise as sharply as before.
According to ON information, the FFP2 mask requirement is also being extended to all interior spaces.
For the time being, there was no official confirmation of the measures.
