Everything looked so good – no team in quarantine, finally another full round in Swiss ice hockey! But nothing will come of it, because at EHC Biel, two players, Toni Rajala and Michael Hügli, will test positive for the corona virus. EHC Biel reports this on its Twitter account.
After Rajala tested positive on Thursday, Michael Hügli’s test was also positive a day later. The responsible canton doctor then ordered the entire Zeeland team to quarantine, which meant that the National League game on Friday evening between Biel and Geneva-Servette fell through.
According to Biel CEO Daniel Villard, the game against Lausanne on Saturday will also not take place.
This begs the question of how the qualification will be played. Because: on April 5th, the qualification was originally supposed to end. Since the Bielers are now in quarantine and have to play their six games, this endeavor is hardly possible. (par)
