Tesla Press-KitYou don’t have to operate a door handle to get into the interior of the Tesla Cybertruck
In November 2019, Tesla announced its Cybertruck. Tesla boss Elon Musk has now published an exciting detail of the pick-up on Twitter, which is due to come onto the market in autumn 2021: It will have no door handles. Then the fans started wild speculation on Reddit.
Twitter user Zack could hardly wait for the market launch of the Cybertruck in autumn this year and asked Tesla boss Elon Musk himself in a tweet for new information. He did not ask twice and revealed a detail about Tesla’s light commercial vehicle that had it all: The Cybertruck will have no door handles.
In previous models, the handles remained hidden in the door until a person approached with a key. The pick-up, on the other hand, should manage entirely without a manual opening system. How exactly this should work, Musk did not explain. In the new edition of the Tesla Roadster, for example, a touch field is built into the door frame that opens the door when pressed. In the Tesla Model X, since 2015, the doors have opened automatically as soon as the driver approaches the car with the key.

Fans dare wild hypotheses
Musk’s statements left a lot of room on Reddit for speculation about how cyberpunk owners could open their cars in the future. User AquaSquatch is sure that the opening is done by voice command. Sayings like “Cybertruck, I will enter you” then become part of our language use. dar343, on the other hand, speculates that the Tesla can access our thoughts and knows when to open its doors. User bcd_is_me goes one better: Musk is already one step further in the future. The doors no longer have to open, because instead of a driverless car, cyberpunk is a completely passenger-free vehicle. That’s why Tesla left out the doors entirely.
We can only speculate what Musk and its developers really thought. If cyberpunk has piqued your interest, you can pre-order it for € 100. If you are interested in another electric car, we recommend the EFAHRER.com electric car comparison:
