Until recently, Fadri Janutin (21) wore long rasta locks. Then the Sportler-RS came in Magglingen and he parted with his beloved dreadlocks. At least now it is clear: Janutin’s strength was not in your hair! The young man from Graubünden took silver at the Junior World Championships in slalom. He is only beaten by the American Benjamin Ritchie (20). The Austrian Joshua Sturm (19) came in third.
For Janutin, slalom silver is a great success after 29th place in the Super-G and 5th place in the giant slalom. The trained roofer, who, like Carlo Janka, competes for the Obersaxen ski club, has won precious metal at a Junior World Championship for the first time. And he proves why he is considered to be a great talent.
He drives a rickety VW Golf
Incidentally, Janutin doesn’t fit in a drawer. When asked by VIEW of his old Rasta curls, he last said: «I used to listen to a lot of reggae music. When I was 15 years old, I had Rastas braided. I paid for it from the confirmation money that I received from grandma and grandpa. “
Janutin also drives an unusual course on the road. Why? He turns around in a rickety VW Golf built in 1987 – he lovingly named it Olga. “I bought this car for 3,500 francs on an internet platform,” says Janutin. He has never regretted the purchase.
Girlfriend wants dreadlocks back
By the way: It is possible that Janutin will soon be seen with longer hair again after his military service. He explains: “My girlfriend thinks that I looked better before going to the hairdresser than I do now.”
