Garmin presents the next generation of rally power meter pedal systems

With Rally, Garmin presents a new product series of power meters for bike sports. The slim pedals were specially developed for the needs of cyclists who want to increase their performance effectively through training with performance measurement. The power meters provide information about the pedaled power and the cadence. Rally with performance measurement on both sides also determine extended cycling dynamics – for the first time for racing bikes, mountain bikes and gravel bikes.

The rally power meters are available as single or dual sensor systems:

  • Rally RS100 and Rally RS200 for road cyclists offer compatibility with SHIMANO SPD-SL cleats
  • Rally XC100 and Rally XC200 for off-road cycling (mountain bike, gravel, cyclocross) are compatible with SHIMANO SPD cleats
  • Rally RK100 and Rally RK200 for racing cyclists are compatible with LOOK KEO cleats

Comprehensive performance metrics for effective training

The rally power meters provide reliable and accurate data for every training session via the pedal sensors. With the dual sensor systems Rally RK200, Rally RS200 and Rally XC200, cyclists can display data metrics for the right and left leg independently of one another. The pedals measure cadence, total power, the distribution of power between the left and right leg and advanced cycling dynamics. Based on this data, the training can be adapted to the specific strengths and weaknesses in order to continuously improve your own driving performance. The pedals also record the time the driver spent sitting or standing and allow conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness of the respective position. In addition, the power phase is determined, which shows when the drive power begins and ends in the pedaling cycle. The pedal systems with a Rally RK100, Rally RS100 and Rally XC100 sensor use the forces recorded on the left pedal to measure both cadence and power. They can easily be converted to the dual sensor system.

Diverse application possibilities on- and offroad as well as indoor

The training becomes even more effective in connection with the compatible Edge bike computers and the Garmin Connect app, with which data can be uploaded seamlessly and the rally software can be updated. The rally watt measurement systems have a battery life of up to 120 hours and can be installed like any other pedal. A quick exchange between the wheels is possible without any problems. In order to be able to use all facets of cycling all year round – whether on the road, on the track, on a mountain bike, gravel or cyclocross – the pedal axle is designed so that the pedal bodies can be easily exchanged (pedal body replacement kits available separately) . This means that you never have to do without the watt measurement – and all that with just one Rally watt measurement pedal system and a supplementary pedal body replacement kit.
