The 65-year-old Rolf Scheider was a member of the GNTM jury in 2008 and 2009. That meant the breakthrough for his television career. The make-up artist and casting director spun from one German TV format to another. In 2015 he ventured into the RTL jungle camp and took fourth place.

When the show first aired in 2006, booker and model agent Peyman Amin took a seat at Klum’s side in the jurors chair. Up to and including the fourth season of 2009, he stood by the top model with words and deeds and helped her to find young talent. After that, Amin was seen in the ProSieben show “Die Model-WG” (2010-2011) and in the Sat.1 show “Million Dollar Shootingstar” (2012). In 2017 he sat on the jury for the second season of “Curvy Supermodel” on RTLzwei.

He remains unforgotten by many viewers thanks to his funny sayings, his American accent and his extravagance: Bruce Darnell. In 2006 and 2007 the choreographer taught the young models to walk. The perfect walk on high heels – no problem for Bruce Darnell. Since 2013 he has been a permanent member of the jury for the RTL talent show “Das Supertalent”.

Armin Morbach was only part of the GNTM jury in the first season. The make-up artist and photographer with the eye-catching horn-rimmed glasses is also a respected hairstylist in Germany. Meanwhile, Morbach is making a name for itself with extravagant photo exhibitions. He is still enthusiastic about the winner of the first season. “I think Lena [Gercke] is still the biggest model that has ever emerged from the show – to this day, “he said in an interview with” Focus Online “in 2015.

Make-up artist Boris Entrup accompanied the candidates in the second season. At the side of Heidi Klum, Peyman Amin and Bruce Darnell, he chose Barbara Meier as the winner. Entrup is best known through advertising campaigns for the Maybelline brand. As an author, he gives tips on make-up and styling.

Kristian Schuller still appears in one or the other episode of GNTM, for example as a guest juror and photographer. In the fifth season he sat on the jury chair himself. Schuller can look back on many successful exhibitions. He also works as a photographer for well-known fashion magazines.

He too only sat on the jury for one season: Qualid “Q” Ladraa. In the fifth season he took a seat next to Heidi Klum and Schuller. At that time he was the consultant to designer Christian Audigier. “Q” has become a multi-millionaire through the sale of its “Opinit” app. With Heidi Klum he “still has a great relationship,” he said in a 2018 “Stylebook” interview. “She’s cool, crazy – and I just like her.”

Thomas Hayo is a true GNTM veteran. No one else – apart from Heidi Klum – was a member of the jury for as long as he was. The creative director sat on the jury for eight seasons from 2011 to 2018. About his end, he said in the “OMR Podcast”: “I had the feeling that we had reached a point where it might not go on – or maybe even in a direction that is not necessarily the right thing for me.”

As Thomas and Thomas, Hayo and Rath delighted the audience. The fashion designer Thomas Rath was a permanent member of the jury in 2011 and 2012. In 2019 the designer tried his hand at dancer and took part in “Let’s Dance”. He was eliminated in episode four.

Born in Mexico, Enrique Badulescu supported Heidi Klum in 2013 in her search for “Germany’s Next Top Model”. The star photographer, who has a penchant for bandanas, became known through his work for fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.

With Wolfgang Joop, a famous fashion designer enriched the GNTM jury. The man behind the JOOP! is a fashion icon, especially in Germany. From 2014 to 2015 he accompanied the model candidates of the ProSieben show and offered some the chance to run at fashion shows for his label.

Another well-known designer who sat next to Heidi Klum is Michael Michalsky. He replaced Joop as a juror and held his job for three seasons. He then worked, among other things, as a fashion expert on the live broadcast of the Oscars on ProSieben.

Thomas Hayo and Michael Michalsky were the last permanent jury members at GNTM. Since the 14th season, Heidi Klum has been running the show alone and gets new support by her side every week. Since then, top models, photographers and well-known faces have been advising Klum on their decisions. So also in the current 16th season.

Designer Manfred Thierry Mugler acted as the first guest juror of the new season. The self-proclaimed “dreamer” was allowed to evaluate the 31 candidates at the beginning. What made Mugler a star guest? The Frenchman has worked with celebs like David Bowie, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, Cardi B and Kim Kardashian.

In the second episode, fans were happy about a well-known face: Rankin. The photographer has been with us since the early GNTM years. In front of his camera, he has already had stars like Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Keira Knightley, Katy Perry and Madonna.

In addition to Rankin and Klum, fashion designer Marina Hoermanseder was also on the jury. The designer had only given birth to her first child in November 2020 – a week after the birth, she was already filming for GNTM.

In episode three, choreographer Nikeata Thompson came to the candidates’ loft and gave the girls a lesson on the treadmill. Thompson was no stranger to GNTM fans: In the previous seasons, the dancer was at the side of the young models with words and deeds.

In episode four, photographer Ellen von Unwerth appeared as a star guest. She photographed the young models on roller skates during a shoot and rated them on the nude walk – a new feature at GNTM. So far, the young women have only been photographed naked.

Freshly redesigned, the girls then had to run in front of designer Christian Cowan. The young Briton was helped by none other than megastar Lady Gaga to success after wearing a pink glitter suit from him in 2014. He has also outfitted other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Naomi Campbell and Miley Cyrus.
