Going to the gym, yoga or basketball training – at least for some Hamburg amateur athletes, this could soon be possible again. In a pilot project, one or two clubs in the city should be allowed to offer their normal sports program again. Club members with a reliably documented negative rapid test could then go to sport as they did before the corona pandemic.
It is not yet clear which clubs will be part of the project. However, some of the city’s sports clubs, for example ETV or TSG Bergedorf, already have a test center – and should therefore have a bit of an advantage when choosing.
Results for the opening concept
The aim of the pilot project: If there are no infections in recreational sports, the opening concept is to be extended to all sports clubs in the city. A large number of quick tests are required for the model test and when other clubs are opened at a later date. According to Sports Senator Andy Grote (SPD), the city wants to contribute to the costs.
