British actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films, was, in his own words, intimidated by Snape actor Alan Rickman for years.
Working with the more than 40 year older colleague was “scary,” Felton said in a video on Tiktok, adding: “He was the only actor I knew and he was terrifying in the most pleasant way.”
“Took a couple of years to say more than ‘Hi'”
“I met him when I was twelve, so it took me a couple of years to find the courage to say more than ‘Hi’.” However, Rickman was also “very, very nice” and had a “mischievous sense of humor”. It was a real privilege to work with him, stressed Felton.
Rickman, who had also played in films such as “Sense and Sensibility” or “Robin Hood”, died of cancer in 2016 at the age of 69. (jwo / dpa)
