In Lucerne, the corona virus itself affects the view of the stars
The observatory of the Lucerne Astronomical Society will remain closed for the time being. There should be another astronomy course in autumn.
Looking at the stars arouses longing. But if you want to find out more about the movements in the Lucerne night sky, you have to be patient. The Hubelmatt observatory is still closed, as announced by the Lucerne Astronomical Society AGL. “We hope, however, that the situation around the corona virus will improve in the not too distant future, so that we can reopen in the course of early summer,” writes Beat Bühlmann from the AGL.
Anyone who wants to find out more about the activities of society and also about those of the suns, planets and moons is kept busy online with astro information in the NOVA association’s journal. And if you feel like it, you can register with the company for the astronomy course next fall.
