This story gets under your skin. It will take a few weeks until the birth of their twins, but Tanja Szewczenko’s (43) fans are already keenly interested in how their boys should see the light of day. The former All That Counts actress now reveals that she doesn’t really care how her children are born – and for a moving reason.
“I noticed with my daughter that you can’t plan anything,” said Tanja now in hers Instagram-Story. At the time, her little one was perfectly situated and everything pointed to a natural birth – until a tear in the amniotic sac was diagnosed ten days before the expected due date. Shortly afterwards, she went into labor, but even 27 hours later, her cervix still did not open. She and her husband Norman would then have decided to have a caesarean section, which must have saved the baby’s life. “Then a doctor came to me and said: ‘You would have ended up here one hundred percent, but then as an emergency c-section. Your daughter is wrapped in the umbilical cord, neck, legs, arms …’, recalls Tanja back in tears.
If she hadn’t decided to have the procedure back then and had continued to hope for a natural birth, the baby could have strangled itself during delivery. “You can see from a story like this, you can’t plan or hope for anything, in the end the greatest wish is to hold the child healthy in your arms and nothing else,” concludes the mom-to-be.
