It belongs to “Love Island” like the pairing ceremony at the fireplace: Jana Ina Zarrella has hosted the RTLZWEI dome show since the first episode. That’s enough of that. The Brazilian stops.

The fifth season of “Love Island” is coming to an end after three weeks. The finale of the dome show runs on Monday evening. Also there: a couple of couples in love – and of course presenter Jana Ina Zarrella.
The end of the fifth season is not only the end for this year’s candidates, but also the end of Jana Ina as the presenter of the RTLZWEI show. After four and a half years, the 44-year-old leaves “Love Island”. The station announced the day before the grand finale on Instagram.
“But first and foremost, I am mom”
“After five seasons, she says goodbye to us so that she can spend more time with the family.” The wife of singer Giovanni Zarrella will not disappear completely. She remains loyal to the station. Further projects with the 44-year-old are already planned.
On her Instagram account, she explained that it was not easy for her to separate from her family for several weeks a year. She thanked her for the “unbelievable time” and wrote: “‘Love Island’ has given me great moments that I will never forget. I love my job and look forward to new projects soon. But first and foremost, I am mom.” The time in Tenerife showed her that she had made the right decision by leaving, even if it was very difficult for her.
The dating reality show “Love Island” originally came from Great Britain and has been running on RTLZWEI since 2017. Since then, the format has been moderated by Jana Ina Zarrella. It is not known who will be her successor. Last year, Cathy Hummels had to stand in for her because Jana Ina Zarrella was infected with the corona virus.
