In these regions, only one household is allowed to meet with one other person. Children under the age of 14 are excluded. Daycare centers go to emergency care, schools to distance learning, and emergency care is to be organized for grades 1 to 6. Face-to-face classes can be offered for the graduating classes. Driving schools must offer their theory lessons as distance learning. In addition, only one person per household is allowed to shop in the supermarket or discount store, this also applies to pharmacies, weekly and hardware stores, among other things. Retailers can continue to offer Click and Collect. Leisure and cultural institutions are only allowed to offer their offers outside.
The background to this is the number of new infections that have almost or completely broken the threshold value of 100 in these areas. Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) also urged all Schleswig-Holstein residents to refrain from any private meetings in rooms as long as it was “somehow possible,” said Günther. If that is not possible, the test facilities and a face mask should be used.
Günther also said he was concerned about the number of new infections. However, he does not see a need for an early Prime Minister’s conference.
