Optimized version released for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S; Upgrade costs ten euros

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has also been released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. The announced Switch version will follow later this year.
The implementations of the new consoles from Microsoft and Sony promise graphic improvements, including sharper shadows, improved skater textures, reflections and lens flares. The versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X run in native 4K at 60 fps, while the version for Xbox Series S is rendered at 1440o and upscaled to 4K. The press release also mentions surround sound and a 120 fps mode (1080p).

Those who own a digital edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will not receive a free upgrade to the next-gen version. Instead, you have to buy an upgrade to the “Cross-Gen-Deluxe-Bundle” for ten euros (FAQ). The upgrade also includes the secret skater Ripper (aka the infamous Powell-Peralta mascot), retro gear for ‘Make-Your-Skater’ mode, and retro skins for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen. Owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will receive the next-gen upgrade at no additional cost (excluding Japan).
