Oscar Frayer (23): College star rams a police car and dies in an accident a short time later

The Grand Canyon Antelopes mourn one of their basketball players. 23-year-old Oscar Frayer was killed in a car accident on Tuesday morning. His older sister and one other person were also in the vehicle, and they also died.

According to the local authorities, the car came off the road, hit a tree and went up in flames. The car previously collided with a police cruiser on a highway near Lodi, California. The two police officers were in the process of inspecting a broken-down vehicle. They were seriously injured, but will survive, according to the authorities.

Bryce Drew, the Antelopes head coach said: “He was the heartbeat of our team with his lively, energetic personality. I cannot put into words the pain we all feel. But we know he’s in heaven. Knowing that we will be together there again at some point gives us strength. ”

Three days before the accident, Frayer and the Antelopes took part in an NCAA final tournament for the first time. However, the team lost the game and was eliminated.
