PS Plus: First free title announced for April 2021 – PS5 version of Oddworld Soulstorm is coming
Sony already revealed a free title for the PS Plus offer in April 2021 at the State of Play in February: Oddworld Soulstorm. This will be released on April 6th on PS4, PS5 and PC. PS Plus subscribers will then be able to use the PS5 version of the game upon release. Oddworld Soulstorm is the second title of the five-part series, which began in 1997. The protagonist Abe fights in the game against the oppression of his fellows. He instigates a revolution in the Glukkon factory and tries to save 1,000 Mudokons.
The development studio Oddworld Inhabitants writes the following on the game’s official website: “Experience Abe’s appalling conflict with a terrible new deal. A fresh narrative – a complete repetition of the story, inspired by our original story. “ The game should contain new mechanics and explosive devices that enable completely new gameplay for players. The 2.9D environment is designed to provide depth and immersion in the gaming experience. The immersion is additionally reinforced by the haptic feedback from the DualSense controller.
PS Plus: Free title in April 2021 is certain – subscription brings game hits
Before the PS Plus offer from April 2021 and the release of Oddworld Soulstorm, subscribers to the service can still download some of the best games for free until April 2nd. This includes, for example, the PS5 game Destruction AllStars. This was already available to PS Plus subscribers in February. But Sony gave fans of the game another month to download the game for free. In addition to this free game, there are other greats in the current offer: the PS Plus subscription is worthwhile for this game from March 2021 alone.
The PS Plus subscription is available in three different payment options: For € 59.99 a year, € 8.99 a month or every three months for € 24.99. In return, subscribers receive at least two free PS4 and one free PS5 title each month. Members also get access to online mode and an exclusive discount in the PlayStation Store. But recently there is another addition that PS Plus subscribers should definitely like: According to the Sony boss promises free PS5 games directly to the release for PS Plus. This means that PS Plus subscribers will be able to collect new PS5 games for free when they are released. It remains to be seen whether Oddworld Soulstorm will knock the fans of the series off their feet. At least the subscribers can look forward to an exciting action-adventure game that will certainly offer a lot of variety.
