Kreuzholzhausen (dpa / lby) – An Upper Bavarian manufacturer has recalled its hemp oil because of psychoactive substances.
The product Westermair’s cold-pressed hemp oil, natural, 250 ml, with the best before date June 1st, 2021, is affected, the manufacturer announced on Friday on the portal Lebensmittelwarnung.de. Because of a contamination, psychoactive substances were found in the oil. If they are acutely absorbed by the body, it is said that they have a sedative effect. They could also lead to decreased memory function and decreased diastolic blood pressure. According to the information, paranoid states can also occur in high doses.
