In the “WandaVision” final, a number of questions were answered and many were raised. Here are the three most pressing and exciting open points.

The spoiler-free teaser for the final ninth episode of “WandaVision”.

Marvel Studios/Walt Disney

  • The finale of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “WandaVision” has been streaming on Disney + since Friday.

  • As usual with MCU factories, there are still a lot of unanswered questions here so that we can devour the next MCU releases like the rest of the contents of the pack after we wanted to eat “just a bowl” of chips.

  • Here are the three most exciting questions.

  • But first the spoiler warning for everyone who has not yet watched the final (but let’s be honest: You had the whole weekend for it, what did you do instead, were you shopping ?!):

  • Attention! Spoiler for the entire series! Exclamation mark!

Is Wanda angry now?

Marvel Studios/Walt Disney

So she is not a saint, after all, she has mentally held an entire small town hostage. Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) released her in the end and made a great sacrifice: She also had to let go of her imagined family – Hex-Vision (Paul Bettany) and the twins Billy and Tommy.

The villain of the series was clearly the witch Agatha Harkness aka Agnes (Kathryn Hahn). Wanda defeated her in the finale and has thus become known from the comics and, according to the prophecy, “chaos-causing” Scarlet Witch.

The post-credits scene shows Wanda in her new Scarlet Witch outfit studying the Darkhold in a threatening setting – the book full of dark magic that Agatha used for her jokes during the season (after all, we know: It was « Agatha All Along »- sorry for the catchy tune again). Wanda’s next confirmed Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance is in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” (theatrical release March 24, 2022), in which the title character (Benedict Cumberbatch) competes against “a former ally” according to an early synopsis – so maybe against Wanda?

Is white vision now like vision, just in white?

Marvel Studios/Walt Disney

Hey, possible, nope? White Vision is Vision’s body without its personality, after all, it lacks the Mind Stone. It is therefore literally colorless. After their fight, Hex-Vision convinced White Vision that neither of them is the real vision and yet both are the real vision – for a short time it became deeper than the whole “Matrix” trilogy including bonus material.

After Hex-Vision activated the memories of the real vision (Paul Bettany) destroyed in “Avengers: Infinity War” at White Vision, the latter says: “I am Vision” – and flies away. White Vision is now the only remaining vision, so the answer to the question is: “I think so, yes – just without the empathy of the original vision.”

Who wants to meet with Monica?

Marvel Studios/Walt Disney

In the mid-credits scene, an FBI agent disguised as a Skrull reveals to Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) that a “he” will meet her and “up” (she points up) at her waiting. Which “he” was last seen “up” with Skrulls? Exactly, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in a Skrull spaceship in the post-credits scene of “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.

Teyonah Parris has already been confirmed as Monica for “Captain Marvel 2” (planned Swiss-German theatrical release on November 10, 2022). Since Fury and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) have already teamed up in part one and a young Monica was also part of the ensemble, said meeting should happen in the “Captain Marvel” sequel and the newly equipped with superpowers may then be officially out of the Comics known heroine Photon.

What’s next?

The final ninth episode is titled “The Series Finale” (and not “The Season Finale”), which is why you currently have to assume that there is no second season of “WandaVision” – at least nothing has been announced yet. Wanda is sure to be in “Doctor Strange 2” and Monica is likely to be in “Captain Marvel 2”.

The trailer for “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.

Marvel Studios/Walt Disney

MCU replenishment will be available next week: «The Falcon and the Winter Soldier» starts on March 19th and consists of six episodes that will be released weekly on Disney + as usual. And on June 11th the celebrates «Loki»-Series premiere – also on Disney +, where also in mid-2021 «What If…?» and later this year «Miss Marvel» and «Hawkeye» should start.

And while we’re at it, we’ll quickly drop the release dates of the next MCU films. Postponed several times because of the pandemic «Black Widow» starts (hopefully) on May 6th, «Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings» follows on July 8th, «Eternals» is scheduled for November 4th and «Spider-Man: No Way Home» ends the Marvel cinema year on December 16th.

If you subscribe to the People-Push, you won’t miss anything from the world of the rich, the beautiful and the people for whom it is not entirely clear why they are actually famous.

That’s how it’s done: Install the latest version of the 20-minute app. At the bottom right, tap on «Cockpit», then on the «Settings» cogwheel and finally on «Push notifications». At the point “Topics” you tap “People” – it’s up and running.
