The Austrian private broadcaster ServusTV is offering a rich program on the qualification Saturday in Bahrain, with a grand finale in the evening – the movie “Rush”.

Since this season, the Salzburg private broadcaster ServusTV from the Red Bull Media House has been the new main Formula 1 rights holder for Austria. With a sub-license there is an interplay, the ORF broadcasts every second race.

Interesting: At ORF, commentator Andreas Gröbl also learned his trade alongside Formula 1 commentator icon Heinz Prüller. On-site presenter Andrea Schlager comes from Aichfeld in Styria and grew up not far from the Red Bull Ring. The GP experts are Nico Hülkenberg, Christian Klien and Philipp Eng.

In addition, the former directing mastermind Fritz Melchert has also been working in an advisory capacity for the Red Bull Media House for several years. Melchert worked for decades for large productions such as Alpine skiing and F1 at ORF and knows the job through and through.

The new Formula 1 studio in Salzburg is also state-of-the-art. The studio has an area of 330 square meters. Between the huge, movable LED walls, deceptively real-looking Formula 1 cars can virtually roll directly into the studio via animation.

After qualifying on Saturday at 4 p.m., it is not over yet. ServusTV has programmed the Lauda film “Rush” for the main evening from 8.15 p.m., more or less as the end of the first qualifying day of the new season.

The three-time world champion Niki Lauda, who died in 2019, had an advisory role in the film. Daniel Brühl (Niki Lauda) and Chris Hemsworth (James Hunt) play the leading roles in one of the best sports films of all time.
