More than 10,000 deaths, over half a million people infected with Covid and major economic damage – the corona pandemic is shaking Switzerland’s foundations. It is only logical that the psychological consequences are serious. More stress, less zest for life. Or is it not?
One that has so far been ignored by the public study of the Swiss competence center Social sciences (Fors) in Lausanne now conveys a completely different picture. According to this, at least after the first wave, in early summer 2020, the Swiss were even significantly better off than before.
