The best aero tricks to test before the 2021 season

(Motorsport-Total.com) – The technical regulations will remain largely stable for the 2021 Formula 1 season. The major changes have been postponed by a year and will not take effect until 2022. Nevertheless, the small adjustments that were made this year have in some cases had a major impact.

In a video on the Formel1.de YouTube channel, we take a look at the most exciting solutions that we noticed during the test in Bahrain. The main focus is on the changes to the underbody and the diffuser. We discovered interesting variants at Mercedes, Red Bull and McLaren, among others.

While the changes to the underbody could be the reason that world champion Mercedes had problems with the new W12 during the test in Bahrain, the Red Bull RB16B made a fast and stable impression. And McLaren’s diffuser solution could soon also be seen on other teams.

We also took a closer look at the new cars from Ferrari and AlphaTauri. The Red Bull sister team could not take over the new suspension of the bulls this year. To do this, they found a way to use the solution from last year.
