After around a decade on the social media platform, the Internet star has had enough of the negativity. Chrissy remains loyal to Instagram.
With her tweets, model and presenter Chrissy Teigen made it into the people headlines almost every week.
That is now the end: Last night, the 35-year-old said goodbye to her almost 14 million Twitter followers.
The platform did not bring her enough joy, but more sorrow, she explains.
Twitter-Queen Chrissy Teigen announces her resignation from the social media platform. On the night of Thursday (Swiss time), the modeling, moderating and cookbook-writing American sent her last tweets to her 13.7 million followers for the time being.
“Hey. For more than ten years you were the world to me. I owe so much to this world and call some of you true friends, ”said the 35-year-old. And further: “But it’s time for me to say goodbye. Joy and negativity are no longer in balance here and I think it’s time to take action. “
“I’m not that strong girl”
Your goal is to make people happy. However, the pain when she doesn’t succeed has become too much for her. “I’ve always been seen as the strong girl who strikes back easily – but I’m not at all.”
She wants to be liked by everyone and at the same time is afraid of annoying people and has therefore become someone different on Twitter than the person her fans originally subscribed to. “Farewell, Tweeters,” she closes her first four posts, “be aware that it has always been about you!”
At the bottom you can see what the wife of John Legend (42) and mother of Luna (4) and Miles (2) also tweeted bye bye.
Her Instagram is still online
You don’t have to do without your daily Chrissy-Fix: She remains active on Instagram and continues to entertain her 34.3 million followers with snapshots and videos from her private and business life. Her food blog profile @cravingsbychrissyteigen with a 1.6 million community is also still online.
In the past few months, Chrissy Teigen was the only celebrity to be followed by Neo-US President Biden (78) on Twitter – but the joy was short-lived – and with her very open approach to the miscarriage of her third child.
Here are her other Byebye tweets from the previous night (merci for taking screenshots, “Buzzfeed”!):
If you subscribe to the People-Push, you won’t miss anything from the world of the rich, the beautiful and the people for whom it is not entirely clear why they are actually famous.
That’s how it’s done: Install the latest version of the 20-minute app. At the bottom right, tap on «Cockpit», then on the «Settings» gear and finally on «Push notifications». At the point “Topics” you tap “People” – it’s up and running.
