Munich – Hello, Schanzer, now comes Türkgücü: TSV 1860 prevailed against third division competitor FC Ingolstadt in the Grünwalder Stadium on Saturday afternoon. It was 2: 2 after 90 minutes, 5: 4 on penalties – in the end, the sixties prevailed against a B-Eleven of the third in the table.

“It was hard work,” said TSV coach Michael Köllner after the narrow success of his six-packs: “It was not an easy game for us emotionally after the win against Dynamo Dresden, we also had to go to our limits against a team from Ingolstadt . ” A show of strength that was worthwhile for the Giesinger team. Köllner continues: “The sense of achievement is good for us.”

Tuesday follows the small city derby against Türkgücü

Now the duel of the two winners of the past third division internal duels will rise on Tuesday evening: Ingolstadt winner will meet SV Türkgücü at 8:30 p.m., who had already prevailed 2-0 against SpVgg Unterhaching last Wednesday.

If 1860 can also put its city rivals in their place, the chances of making it into the DFB Cup for the 2021/22 season would be good – and maybe even better: the Corona crisis currently forced amateur football to take a break. As Köllner also knows, the originally planned implementation of the Toto Cup is on the brink.

“As long as amateur football cannot start, it will of course be difficult,” said Köllner of the quarter-final pairings with the lower-class opponents. According to the 51-year-old, the preparation time for amateur footballers for the cup duels would be “around five to six weeks”. Therefore, “the association has to think about what it can expect from the teams,” said Köllner about the plans of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV).

Will the DFB-Pokal be a matter for the professional teams?

Should amateur football not be able to start again for a longer period of time due to the recently rising Corona numbers, the DFB Cup could become a matter for the professional teams.

For the pragmatist in Köllner, only one thing counts: “The fact is that we will have the decisive game on Tuesday in order to at least once prevail among the third division teams.”
